Mayumi, a talented accessory designer, visited Stylo for a colour analysis and makeup lesson.
Renowned for her unique designs, she attracts visitors from all over, and her work is frequently showcased in media features! Her pieces are stunning, but what moves me most is that she herself embodies the art she creates.
So, I was excited to see what kind of discoveries she will make through her styling session with us!

She brought us the famous Marlowe pudding – such a lovely treat! We started our session by chatting over tea and pudding, catching up on life, fashion, makeup, and skincare. So many topics to talk among women! By the way, if you ever visit Tokyo/Yokohama/Japan, I highly recommend trying Marlowe pudding. You can find their shops in several locations, and since it is available for takeout, you can enjoy it slowly back at your hotel.

Her tone is blue based, and her season is SUMMER. Soft, muted colours and sherbet-like shades look beautiful on her. On the other hand, very deep or heavy colours did not complement her skin. Dusty, light colours and soft pastel tones would be beautiful on her!

Red was also a stunning colour on her. Interestingly, her brand uses a beautiful shade of red in its packaging. It is also refined and inspiring to see how her personal colours align with her brand-a perfect balance of sophistication and individuality.

Using the 12-tone colour analysis method, we are norrowing down the exact Summer tones that bring out her natural beauty.

After the colour analysis, it was time for the much-anticipated makeup lesson! Every woman wants to feel beautiful and youthful – and discovering your best colours is a powerful way to make that happen. It seemed that Mayumi had been using mostly yellow-based eyeshadows until now. This time, I suggested a soft mauve base paired with a sherbet-toned baby blue. Using colours that truly complemented her eyes brought a fresh clean look – and she no longer needed to rely on thick eyeliner to define her eyes.
It is amazing how just a small change can brighten your complexion so much – there is no reason not to try it. Having this kind experience in Tokyo can be a wonderful memory, too. I especially recommend doing a colour analysis or makeup lesson before going shopping – it not only makes shopping more fun, but also helps avoid unnecessary purchases
