Wonderouse Eyewear Resort , ana eyewear shop in Nakameguro, Tokyo is a sophisticated and cozy place to stop by. It is kind of a perfect spot to wander into and indulge in a little eyewear talk.
The owner is incredibly kind and down to earth, and what is really impressive is how he always treats every customer with the same care and respect, no matter where they are from.
This is the essence of “omotenashi”, Japan’s unique spirit of hospitality. Though it is something that maybe slowly fading among some yonger generations, I sincerly hope that people visiting from abroad get the chance to feel this heartfelt, respectful approach to service.

You will find a well-chosen mix of eyewear from both local and international brands, and the owner takes the time to explain the story and details behind each piece.
One of my favorites is the eyewear by WUJIC JO, from ANTWERP. The designer based in ANTWERP but the glasses themselves are crafted here in Japan- a perfect blend, considering how highly regarded Japanese eyewear craftsmanship is around the world.

Another brand I highly recommend is I.ENOMOTO. Their frames are incredibly lightweight and comfortable, making them easy to wear for long hours without causing any strain on your eyes or behind your ears.

One charming reflection of the owner’s personality is that shop is pet friendly! That is quite rare here in Tokyo, especially for a place like an eyewear shop, where delicate items are handled with care.
At Stylo, dogs are also welcome under certain conditions. We even have our own shop dog, APOLLO! So if you are traveling and missing some canine company, feel free to ask- APOLLO loves human being! He is an Australian Labradoodle flew from Queensland, Australia to TOKYO, and now enjoying his urban life here. Such a city boy!
