Visited a knitwear store called BATONER in central Tokyo.
A client had asked me to find clothing with a delicate, distinctly Japanese touch. I thought BATONER would be a perfect fit for him!
The store is built on the “principle of subtraction”, with a refined space shaped by minimalist aesthetics. Within it, simple yet high quality knits are beautifully displayed. The moment we opened the door, the client was impressed by the sophisticated, compact space-he seemed to like it instantly.

This is BATONER’S first attempt at something new – a denim jacket silhouette recreated using a different fabric. The fabric itself is exceptional, something only BATONER could produce.
Finding and proposing simple, high-quality pieces like this is something STYLO excels at. We believe that the principle of subtraction is essential to bring out a person’s true character, natural gestures, and sensibilities. This is something we always communicate during our colour consultations and styling sessions.
We never force sales or push recommendations onto our clients. We believe that truly great proposals com from a flat, equal relationship between the store, brand, the consultant, and the client.
